Firstly, congratulations to Andrew Russell on winning the Wasa Lake Triathon and breaking the course record set by Kelly Guest last year. Kerry Spearing scored her second win in as many races (since her return to racing tri's) by taking the overall sprint title (including the men) at the Vancouver ITU BG sprint race. Also well done to the junior men (Aaron, Matt and Scotty) who raced to top ten spots in Vancouver.. and Stevo for a much improved performance at Wasa Lake with a 6th place finish and a WHOPPING 2min20 faster swim time compared to last year. Guess all those swims are paying off.
Sunday evening Team BC junior elites gathered for a post race swim at the 2nd beach outdoor pool then headed off to UBC for a 2 day training camp. Next up is Edmonton for Andrew Russell (1st career world cup), Scott Dagnall (PATCO race).
Since Vancouver the NTC has hosted Ruth Hunt (high performance director and national coach of Hong Kong) and her athletes as well as Lisa Norden (Sweden) and her coach as well as Spanish and Venezuelan athletes. All good fun!!
Stevo.. Andrew.. great bike racks.. We'll get a pic of them and post on the blog.
